What is Artificial Intelligence?
AI also known as Artificial Intelligence is the term used to demonstrate the intelligence of a machine. A normal human or animal has natural intelligence. But when it comes to a machine we can create artificial intelligence. Artificial Intelligence is generally used for a machine that can mimic the functions of a human brain and utilize it for tasks like learning and problem sharing. Artificial Intelligence includes advanced machine learning and deep learning.
The idea of Artificial Intelligence was first founded in the year 1955. Several experiments were held which resulted in several failures. Several new approaches were made and after years of struggle and compromise, the experiments took an optimistic turn.

Narrow Artificial Intelligence can also be called Weak Artificial Intelligence. It is used by us and one of the most successful realizations of Artificial Intelligence. It includes Artificial Intelligence within a limited context. Narrow Artificial Intelligence often includes performing of a single task. These machines are though intelligent but have many limitations as compared to a very basic human intelligent. Some of the well-known examples of Narrow Artificial Intelligence are-

2.Artificial General Intelligence
The need for a machine with all the ability to perform all cognitive activities is not new. Many science fiction movies have displayed a great desire for a robot that would perform all the cognitive works at great ease and faster than a human. Artificial General Intelligence is also known as Strong Artificial Intelligence. It is much stronger than Narrow Artificial Intelligence. Machines under this type have the capacity to solve any problem and works as human intelligence. Artificial General Intelligence has been a part of several movies that shows how it will overrun humanity. But experts say it would not happen sometime soon.
The progressiveness of Artificial Intelligence has given rise to many questions and debates. An amazing fact about artificial intelligence is that it has been a matter of debate so much that no official definition of it exists. It depends on a man how he is willing to describe it.

Although after several approaches Artificial General Intelligence requires more improvement and experiments to prove it safe for humankind, Narrow Artificial Intelligence is widely used.

Every Scientific creation is a boon and a bane at the same time. Even artificial intelligence has its advantages and disadvantages.

- Less chance of human errors
Humans make mistakes. For eg- when it comes to calculation and remembering things, a human may forget things and also miscalculate numbers. But a properly programmed Robot would not commit such errors. Hence when it comes to artificial intelligence the chances of error decreases.

Human life is precious. It is advisable to use a robot instead of a human when a person’s life is involved in it. For eg- A well-programmed robot can be sent to space to gather information about the environment there instead of a human.
- Requires less resting time
Humans can concentrate on a single task for longer but it is easy for robots. They don’t require rest and after charging them for 5-8 hrs on daily basis they can work without stopping.
- Faster than humans
Robots are faster and hence they can save time, unlike a human. It also has a multi-functioning ability that increases its efficiency.
Some of the disadvantages are as follows-
Robots involving artificial intelligence requires a lot of money to be created. This makes it unaffordable for common people.
- Makes human lazy
Artificial Intelligence is making human lazy. It can do most of the task automatically. Thus, affecting human life at a great extent.
- Increases unemployment
Robots are more efficient and faster compared to humans. Robots can also multi-task but humans can not and there are fewer chances of error when a robot works. Hence they are more preferred over humans. Hence, unemployment will increase.
- No Emotions
Certain works require a team and attachment. Robots do not work like that. They lack emotion and thus do not have the attachment with other team-mates. Hence, they are not suitable for group tasks.
Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Education
Artificial Intelligence has brought a drastic change to the education sector. It has changed both the way of learning and teaching simultaneously. It has made learning more convenient and easy for the students. From the teaching point of view, we all know its hard for the teachers to evaluate several long essays which results in errors. Marking assignments and evaluating tests would be much easier if they were done by a robot. Teachers can now invest more time on one to one communication.AI can also automate the process of classification of paperwork.
Robots can help in the amendment of grammatical errors. Virtual contents like video conferencing and digital lectures are some of the new applications of Artificial Intelligence. It provides comfort to both the students and the teachers via audio, video and online assistant in a digital platform.
Interaction between professors and teachers would be more convenient if all institute adopt Artificial Intelligence. Using of smart tutoring system can use data from students and work with them directly. It does not happen with manual teaching as it is hard to reach out to a teacher during classroom hours.
Learning with technology is a different experience and is more interesting. Artificial intelligence provides an option of learning with the help of graphs and figure. Virtual human guides response through gesture recognition technology.
It provides a chance of global learning. Students throughout the world can now learn a wide range of courses throughout the world. It is easier as you do not require a human-teacher. A well-programmed robot can be your teacher.
According to various surveys and experiments, it can be said that approximately 30%-40% workload of a teacher can be decreased if the use of Artificial Intelligence comes into the picture. It ensures more productivity, fewer efforts and smart work.

Technology up-gradation is helping to make life easier. But it also has a bad impact on students. It is making them dependent on a machine and also making them lazy at the same time. If this continuous happening, a time will come when humans will lose their ability to any work.
Moreover, it gives an option to the students to cheat in their exams and assignments. It decreases communication between a teacher and a student. Hence, decreases the student-teacher bond. A Robot does not have emotions. So it cannot have a bond with a human. It is easy for a student to perform well and focus on studies when he/she feels bonded to the person teaching them.
Students are our backbone. In the presence of artificial Intelligence, young students are going to lose their capacity to communicate. It may also make them introverts, affect their speaking skills and personality too. The presence of a robot, that can solve all their problems can affect them by making them lazy and losing their ability to work.
According to a study, it is said that the use of artificial intelligence in the education sector will increase by 47.5%. Artificial intelligence is supposed to put an impact on both lower and higher educational institutions. If used at a limit it can be a great boon to the educational sector. It will involve learning through more innovative tools with great ease and with the help of 3-D figures for better understanding. Overuse can hamper your life as well in a negative way.
