MET which is Manipal University Online Entrance Test conducts examination for all applying candidates which has certain eligibility criteria to be followed before applying for the exam. The MET eligibility criteria 2020 has set of rules and regulations which has to be followed by all candidates before applying for the exam.

The rules or the conditions are set by the specific university which conducts the examination and are required to be satisfied by all the candidates. For this particular exam (MET eligibility), the Manipal University sets up the rules for the eligibility criteria. The criteria includes the below conditions to be satisfied by the candidates 

The candidates should have passed their 12th examination from a recognized board of education with Physics and Maths as the compulsory subjects for met eligibility.

Minimum of 50% marks has to be obtained by the candidates in these exams. 

The candidates should have studied Physics, Maths and English as the compulsory subjects in class 12th and Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology as the optional ones to meet Met eligibility. These are for B.Tech programs.

For BBA program, candidates must have passed 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent exam with securing minimum 50% marks. 

For Lateral B.Tech program, candidates should have a degree from any recognized university with secured minimum 45% marks. They must have passed 12th or equivalent exam with Mathematics.

For M.Tech program, the candidates should have passed B.E or B.Tech or equivalent with minimum 50% marks and also 50% marks in MET.

For MDS program, the students should have passed BDS or equivalent degree recognized by DCI. They need 50% marks in MET. 

The above mentioned eligibility criteria has to be satisfied by all candidates before filling the application form for the exam. The MET 2020 eligibility criteria has to be properly checked by the candidates and they have to make sure that the necessary conditions are satisfied with their educational qualification. The educational qualification of the candidate must satisfy the criteria mentioned as it is very important and no violation has to be committed to avoid serious consequences. The criteria sets the eligibility requirements for admissions into B.Tech programs available across the participating institutes of MET 2020. The eligibility criteria includes eligibility conditions related to factors like age, educational qualification, number of attempts, marks in qualifying exam, etc.

The age factor must be checked first and the educational qualification is the next step that has to be verified with the criteria and make sure that they are satisfied. The number of attempts made by the candidate to pass the exam needs to be checked. The marks obtained from 10th or 12th should also be verified to satisfy the condition and difference of even one mark matters while checking the criteria. All the above mentioned MET 2020 eligibility criteria has to be checked and satisfied by the applying candidates before applying for the exam as this is the first and foremost step to be fulfilled.
