GATE CCMT 2021 Counselling has been postponed. GATE is the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, conducted every year by the Indian Institute of Technology seven centers namely Bombay(Mumbai), Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras (Chennai), and Roorkee, along with Ministry of Human Resources Development and the Department of Higher Education, Government of India. GATE is internationally accepted as a standard entrance test and has a reputation like our IITs. In India, the successful candidates from GATE are considered for admission to Post Graduate courses, as well as for Ph.D., and the Indian public sector undertakings (PSU) of the Government of India are considering for employment as graduate engineers.

GATE 2021 registration
Step 1: Register on the GOAPS website
To begin with, aspirants were requested to visit the official website of the respective zonal GATE offices or the website of the GATE 2021 organising institute.
Registration: Aspirants needed to register for the exam by providing a valid email address, mobile number, and a GOAPS password. All communications regarding GATE will be sent to the email address provided at the time of registration. One person was allowed to register with one e-mail address. Candidates were also advised to give their mobile numbers for communications through SMS.
GOAPS Password: Aspirants had to choose a password during their registrations through GOAPS.
GOAPS Enrollment ID: Once aspirants register for GATE 2021, an email containing the GOAPS Enrolment ID will be sent to the candidates on the email id provided.
Step 2: Fill the online application form for GATE 2021
To fill the GATE 2021 application form online, candidates had to log in to the official website of GOAPS using their credentials. Once logged in, candidates were able to fill the application form for GATE.
Details to be filled in GATE 2021 application form
- Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents’ name, parents’ mobile number, etc.). It was to be noted that the name of the candidate in the application form must be the same as that in the qualifying degree certificate (or) the certificate issued by the Head of the Department/Institute in which the candidate is pursuing his/her study. GATE 2021 scorecard will be issued as per the name entered in the application form. Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt, etc. should NOT be used before the name.

Step 3: Pay GATE 2021 application fee
After filling the online application form, candidates had to pay the GATE 2021 application fee. Details of application fee and various payment options are given below. Please remember that the application fee is non-refundable.
ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates who are in the final year of Engineering UG, Engineering Graduates, Science graduates with a Master’s degree are eligible. There is no restriction of attempts.

GATE Admit Card 2021
Registered candidates will be able to download GATE 2021 admit card/hall ticket from the official website of GOAPS by submitting their credentials to log in.
GATE 2020 Result
Candidates will be able to check GATE result 2021 by using the details such as application number and password at GOAPS official website.After the declaration of the GATE result, only qualified candidates will be able to download the GATE Score Card. The score will be valid for three years from the declaration of GATE result date.
GATE 2021 Counselling:
Candidates will need to apply separately for admissions in different institutions through COAP (for IITs) and CCMT (for NITs, IIITs and CFTIs).
IIT MTech Admission Through GATE 2021:
COAP Counselling:
- Candidates have to participate in the GATE counselling conducted through COAP for the process of seat allotment.
- Candidates will have to complete the online registration process on COAP’s official website.
- COAP conducts four rounds of seat allotment and the results are announced after the successful conclusion of each round.
- Two more additional rounds of seat allotment are conducted in case the MTech seats at IITs are not filled during the first four rounds.
IISC Bangalore MTech Admission Through GATE 2021
- Admission into the MTech programs offered at IISC Bangalore is done through COAP counseling based on GATE scores.
- The institute also conducts its entrance test and personal interview for candidates seeking admission into some of the engineering branches.
- After the announcement of the GATE result, exam qualifiers will have to complete the online registration process on the official website of IISC Bangalore.
NIT, IIIT, CFTI MTech Admission Through GATE 2021:
CCMT Counseling
.Admission to the MTech programs offered at NITs, IIITs and CFTIs are done through CCMT counselling basis GATE scores.
CCMT Eligibility
- Candidates must have valid GATE score of 2017/2020/2020
- A minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks must be acquired in the qualifying exam (For General and OBC).
- For SC/ST/PwD category candidates, the eligibility is set at a minimum of 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks.
Documents Required for Counselling:
Students will be required to bring the following documents for the document verification process during reporting at RC:
- Provisional seat allotment letter.
- Self-Attested Copy of GATE Score Card (2018 or 2019 or 2020)
- Photo ID proof.
- Original Birth certificate issued by competent authority/Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.
- Class 12 marks sheet.
- Marks sheet of qualifying examination (all semesters).
